CleverTap needs your Project ID, a Passcode and your region
- In CleverTap, open Settings, then Project. Both values are on that page.
- Copy Project ID into the Project ID field here. CleverTap calls it Project ID on that screen and Account ID in its API, and they are the same value.
- Copy Passcode into the Passcode field here. To give Insighter its own instead of reusing the one on screen, click +Passcode on the same page and create an Account Passcode.
- Use an Account Passcode, not your personal User Passcode. CleverTap's terms say a User Passcode belongs to one named person and may not be shared, and this one is held by Insighter rather than by you.
- Pick your region. It is the prefix in your CleverTap dashboard address: in1.dashboard.clevertap.com means India. If there is no prefix, or it says eu1, choose Europe.
- Test the connection. It calls a live user count, which reads nothing and changes nothing.
