Ask your GitLab data anything

Projects, issues and merge requests via GitLab's own MCP server. Connect it to Insighter and Aira answers questions in plain language, builds charts, watches numbers for you, and runs the follow-up work you approve.

How it connects

Connects through the vendor's official MCP server. The tool list is pinned when you connect, reads run freely, and anything that changes data waits for your approval.

What you get

  • Answers in plain language, every one citing where it came from
  • Alerts when a number worth watching moves
  • Automations that draft the work and wait for your approval
  • Per-person access rules: row filters, hidden columns, plain-language guardrails

GitLab's MCP server lives on your own GitLab, not on a shared host

  1. The server address is your GitLab followed by /api/v4/mcp. On GitLab.com that is https://gitlab.com/api/v4/mcp. On a self-managed instance, use your own host in place of gitlab.com.
  2. Create a personal access token with the api scope, or read_api if you only want Aira to read.
  3. Paste the token into the Access token field on this form.
Connect GitLab freeNo card needed. Reads only, until you say otherwise.
